Questions people ask

If it isn't here, call or send a note — same-day answer.

How big is the room?

2,400 sq ft of open floor, with 15 tables and 90 chairs. Nothing is fixed in place, so the layout is yours — rounds for a reception, long tables for a supper, rows for a ceremony.

Can we bring our own caterer?

Any caterer you like, or bring the food yourself — no preferred-vendor list, no commission and no facility fee on top of the rate. Cooking happens off site. There's no commercial kitchen here; the prep area is tables and power, which is what you need to stage, plate and hold with chafers, warmers and coolers. Food should arrive cooked and ready to serve. There is no sink in the prep area, so plan on bringing water and hauling out what you need to wash.

Can we bring alcohol?

Private events are BYOB — you bring what you want and handle service for your own guests. The house does not sell alcohol. At events the venue hosts, cups, ice and chasers are available for purchase.

Are tables and chairs included?

Yes — 15 tables and 90 chairs come with the room at no extra charge. Linens are yours to bring.

Could another event be here the same day?

Possibly — two 4-hour blocks can share a weekend day, with two hours between them so one group is fully out before the next starts setting up. Your block is exclusive use of the building for your own hours either way. A full-day booking has the place to itself.

When can we get in to decorate?

Setup time is built into every block — 30 minutes ahead of a weekend 4-hour block, and on a full-day booking the whole day is yours. If you need more than that, ask about the day before: when the building isn't rented we'll usually just hand you the key, and paying the $75 is what guarantees those three hours either way. On a full-day booking it's free whenever the day before is open.

What can we put on the walls?

Painter's tape, removable mounting strips and hooks, removable adhesive putty, magnets, or the hooks already on the walls. Nothing that leaves a mark — no nails, screws, staples or permanent tape. Anything you put up comes back down before clear-out.

Where does everyone park?

Free parking on site, plus street parking. No permits, no valet, no parking fee.

Is security required?

Yes on evening and full-day bookings. We arrange the officer and add it to your quote — you don't have to find one.

How do we hold a date?

A reservation deposit and a signed rental agreement — $75 for a weekday rental, $150 for a weekend block. It applies toward your total, and the balance is due 7 days before your event. Nothing is reserved until both are in.

What if we have to cancel?

More than 60 days out, your deposit moves to another open date within 12 months. Inside 60 days it's forfeited.

Who cleans up?

You do — cleanup is the renter's responsibility. Trash bagged and in the bin, tables and chairs wiped and stacked where you found them, decor and your own equipment out, floors swept. A refundable $100 cleaning deposit is collected on the day of the event and returned once that's done.

How late can the music go?

A weekend full-day booking can run to 1:00 AM with the building cleared by 2:00 AM. Weekday rentals end at 8:00 PM, cleared by 9:00 PM. The 4-hour block is daytime only — last start 3:00 PM.

What if we need more than four hours?

Extra hours are $75 each on either end, as long as the room is open. Two of them brings you to $425, which is what the full day costs — so at that point we'll just book you the full day and you get until 2:00 AM instead of 7:00 PM.

Can we book four hours in the evening?

No. You pick your own four hours, but the latest start is 3:00 PM, so a block can run no later than 7:00 PM. Anything into the evening is a full-day booking at $425.
